How It Works & Compliance — Independent, Manual OMS

Last Updated: June 2026

In one line: ManageOrder.in is an independent, manual back-office software. The seller themselves uploads their own order/payment files with their consent; we do not scrape any marketplace and we do not store buyers' personal details. We are not affiliated with, owned by or endorsed by Meesho or any marketplace.

1. What ManageOrder.in is

ManageOrder.in is an independent Order Management System (OMS) — a back-office software tool that ecommerce sellers use to organise their own business data: orders, returns, payments, profit & loss, inventory, GST summaries and product listings. Think of it like an accounting or spreadsheet tool, but purpose-built and automated for ecommerce sellers.

2. What ManageOrder.in is NOT

  • It is not a marketplace and it does not sell any goods to consumers.
  • It does not facilitate transactions between buyers and sellers.
  • It is not Meesho, not a Meesho product, and not an official or authorised Meesho partner.
  • It does not scrape, crawl, or auto-pull data from Meesho or any marketplace.
  • It does not log in to any marketplace on the seller's behalf, and does not ask for or store the seller's marketplace password.

3. How it works — step by step (manual & consent-based)

  1. Seller exports their own data. From their own marketplace seller panel, the seller downloads their own order / payment / returns files (the data that already belongs to them).
  2. Seller uploads it here, by choice. The seller manually uploads those files into their ManageOrder account. Nothing is fetched automatically — every upload is a deliberate action by the seller.
  3. The software organises it for them. ManageOrder reads the seller's own file and shows profit & loss, SKU-wise profit, returns, inventory and GST summaries — only for that seller.
  4. The seller stays in control. The data is the seller's; they can view, export or delete it any time.

4. Your data — privacy by design

  • Consent first. All marketplace data in the platform is provided by the seller themselves, with their own consent. The seller is the owner and controller of that data.
  • No buyer personal data. We do not collect or store end-customers' personal details (name, full address, phone) for marketing or resale. We focus on the seller's own operational figures.
  • No scraping / no automation against marketplaces. We never crawl or auto-extract data from any marketplace's systems or APIs without authorisation.
  • Security. Data travels over encrypted HTTPS, passwords are hashed, accounts are isolated per seller, and access is controlled. See our Data Security page.
  • Deletion. A seller can request deletion of their account and data at any time — see our Privacy Policy.

5. Legal & regulatory position (India)

This is a good-faith summary of how we operate; it is not legal advice.

Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act)

Under the DPDP Act, the seller is the party that decides why and how their business data is used — i.e. the seller is the Data Fiduciary / owner of their data. ManageOrder simply processes data on the seller's behalf, on data the seller themselves supplies with consent, and applies reasonable security safeguards. We do not repurpose the data or sell it.

Information Technology Act, 2000 & SPDI Rules

We follow reasonable security practices — encryption in transit, hashed credentials, access control and isolation — and we do not share data with third parties without a lawful basis or the user's consent.

Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020

These Rules apply to an "e-commerce entity" — a platform that facilitates buyer–seller transactions, or that sells goods directly to consumers. ManageOrder does neither: it is a private back-office tool for a seller's own data and does not transact with consumers. The compliance duties under these Rules therefore rest with the marketplace, not with ManageOrder.

Trademarks & fair use

Any marketplace name (such as "Meesho") is used only descriptively — to tell sellers which platform our tool helps them work with. We do not use any marketplace's logo or branding, and we make no claim of partnership, endorsement or affiliation. See our Marketplace Disclaimer.

6. Seller's responsibility

Sellers are responsible for ensuring that their own use of any marketplace's data complies with that marketplace's terms and with applicable law. ManageOrder gives sellers a clean, organised view of the data they already own — the way they choose to use it remains their decision.
